Social Responsibility 2010

In accordance with G4S global policy on Social Responsibility, G4S Thailand marked the start of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2010 by launching several new programs.

  • Warmth Donation Add this

    On the 3rd of Jan 2010, G4S in association with its suppliers answered the silent cry coming from children and families living and facing a cold in high mountain area at Bann Na Lang Kha Daeng project, Mae-Chan district in Chieng Rai province by providing them a comfort and warmth blankets.  A train of deeply appreciated were asked to be conveyed to kind providers, wishing them a forever happiness and well-being.  This activity is under “Share Love, Add Warmth with G4S” project.

  • Smiley Book Add this

    Hands In hands with the “Books for Children Foundation”, G4S has encouraged employees to consider making a book donation which to be forwarded to underprivileged children throughout the country.  We believe that the books help establishing a whole range of skills that equip the children to do better in life.

    New or used books can be taken to donation box located at G4S;

    -Guard post, Lak-si office entrance
    -In front of Human Resources and Business Development building, Lak-si office
    -In front of the elevator, ground floor, New-Petchaburi office

    Let’s help lighting knowledge and imagination to the children!

  • Grandmas We Care Add this

    December a month of saying goodbye to the old year, and welcome the New Year, when most people spend their time with family and loved ones.  There are elderly people who have no family and are left alone at Bann Bangkae Social Welfare Development Centre.

    Mr. Gordon Blackwood, G4S regional Director, and Khun Nichamon Chanurai, Director, along with voluntary employees chose to visit this elderly home to let them know “we care” and bring them a cheer on holiday season.  Necessary daily items and presents were also offered.

    The day filled with happiness, smiling face and impressive blessing from those grandmas and grandpas who’s their eyes shone so bright.  Meanwhile the delight was flood in the hearth of G4S people.

  • “One Coin One Wish” for H.M. the King Add this

    One coin becomes more valuable when Thai people donate it to a foundation and make a wish for their beloved King.

    Mr. Gordon Blackwood, the South Asia Regional Managing Director, led G4S Thailand staffs and visitors on giving support to the “one Coin, one Wish” project for H.M. the King Bhumibol. The donations will go to the Prada Bos Foundation to help the poor and the needy on education, allow them to become productive member of their communities.

    The envelopes for coins and good wishes were prepared specially designed.  Staffs and visitors are invited to write their wish on the envelope to show their gratitude to His Majesty, and to put 25 satang, 50 satang, one baht, two baht, five baht, or 10 baht coins inside.  Each Thai coin presents Portrait of H.M. King Bhumibol on one side. The Organizing Committee will present the coins and the wishing envelopes to His Majesty in celebration of His Majesty’s 82nd birthday anniversary.

  • Do you hear a Cattle cry Add this

    G4S hands in hands with the business partners joined the project of “Agricultural Live Restorations  – Return Buffaloes to the field” at “Baan Na Red Roof Learning Center”, Pa Sang, Mae-Chan district, Chiang Rai on June 10, 2010 to present its support to the Mae Kham River Development Foundation.

    The aim of the project is to rescue cattle and buffaloes from slaughterhouse.  They will be given to the smallholder farmers and work on the field.  This is to help returning them the life as Buddhism‘s belief.  The project would also help farmers from depending on agricultural machines that could be costly when oil prices continue to rise and allow farmers to become self-reliant as originated concept from H.M. the King of Thailand.  Mr. Plaeak Dechaboon, a teacher who holds this strong faith, will be the one who convey knowledge and method of taking care of the cattle and buffaloes to the farmers. This includes farm administrative knowledge based upon originated concept of H.M. the King.
